Newspaper Agency Corporation was founded in 1952 by The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News to manage the newspapers’ advertising, printing and circulation. The two newspapers remain under separate ownership and are editorially independent.

Internet Advertising Opportunities
The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News online editions jointly deliver more than 15 million page impressions per month. Reach this audience by posting your advertising message on the online editions of The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News.

The Newspaper Agency Corporation offers Internet advertising opportunities throughout The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News online editions.

Internet advertising from The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News’ online editions directs traffic to your Web site or page and increases brand awareness.

Advertisers can track their ad campaigns via Engage’s AdManager™ software program by entering their user name and password.

Ad Placement
Banner ads will be placed at the top of the Web page and buttons along the side.  Advertising draws a combination of impressions from both Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News online editions.

Campaign Reports
Advertising is managed by Engage AdManager™ software, ensuring that your message is delivered with maximum effectiveness.  AdManager™ software provides real-time feedback of the total number of ad impressions, ad clicks and click-through rates. This enables advertisers to create their own reports daily and see the results of their Internet advertising campaigns, simply by accessing the online data.

Materials and Deadlines
Advertising space must be reserved five working days prior to the desired start date. Online ads must be received by NAC two working days prior to scheduled start date. All ads must be submitted via e-mail to webmaster@nacorp.com. Space reservation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to ten different online ads can be scheduled in a campaign. Creatives within a campaign may be changed once a week, with two working days advance notice. Additional changes will be billed at $50 each.

Ad Sizes
NAC offers two ad sizes that comply with the Internet Advertising Bureau’s standards:

Button/Targeted Ads
125W X 125H (pixels)

Banner/ROS Ads

468W x 60H (pixels)

Please Note: The file size of your ad must be 12K or less and in GIF file format (for faster download times). Advertisers should be aware that certain file types (i.e., Java, Shockwave, GIF animation and other similar file types) may increase download times; are not supported by some browsers; and may not be accepted by NAC. We have the capability of delivering rich media or generic HTML ads. Contact jkunze@NACorp.com for additional information.

Changes of Policy
Newspaper Agency Corporation and the publishers of The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News reserve the right to change, amend or eliminate advertising policies with 30 days advance notice. Submitting an advertisement for publication or distribution represents the advertiser’s agreement to abide by the policies of Newspaper Agency Corporation, The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News.

Identification & Indemnification
Advertisers who purchase ad impressions from NAC on either of our online newspaper sites must have either the company’s registered URL or name in one of the frames of the ad. Under no circumstances do we accept advertising without identifying the company. The advertiser agrees that the advertiser is responsible to third parties for the content of advertisements placed. In the event that Newspaper Agency Corporation, The Salt Lake Tribune or Deseret News becomes liable to any third party as a result of an advertisement, the advertiser agrees to indemnify any or all of them for damages owed to the third party and for the fees and costs associated with the controversy.

Credit Terms
All advertising must be paid in advance or the advertiser must have prior credit approval by NAC’s credit department. All bills are due 30 days after they are received. Payments will be credited to the oldest outstanding balance first. Cash discounts are not available. Credit applications are available by fax.
