ABC, ABC Reports and the Publisher's Statements
ABC is an acronym for Audit Bureau of Circulations. ABC is an external auditing
company that verifies total paid circulation for 12 months for newspapers.
The ABC Audit Report: This report is produced once a
year. For NAC, the audit is conducted at the end of June. Prior to 1996, NAC's
ABC reports were conducted at the end of September. In 1996, NAC changed its audit
time to accommodate ABC's schedule.
The Publisher's Statement: The circulation numbers for
the ABC Publisher's Statement are provided by the newspaper's circulation department. The
Publisher's Statement is verified and accepted by ABC. It is released every six
months -- September 30 and March 31 of every year.
The following tables depict our circulation numbers as of June 30,
1999.
The numbers were derived from our official ABC Audit Report. You can obtain an
official report by contacting your sales representative or the Marketing Department. |
